About Citavon
A free medieval strategy game for the browser, made by players for players.
What Citavon is
Citavon is a free-to-play real-time strategy MMO that runs in your web browser. Every player is a lord with a town in one shared world of 800 by 800 tiles. Your city keeps growing while you are away: farms, sawmills, quarries and iron mines gather resources, the Academy researches, the Barracks trains troops and armies march across the map in real time.
It is a game of patience and planning more than fast clicking. A good lord balances food against an army's upkeep, keeps the people loyal and taxes fair, chooses which valleys to hold and which neighbours to trust, and works with an alliance to survive the bigger players.
Who makes it
Citavon is made by a small independent team who loved the browser strategy games of the late 2000s and wanted that kind of game back: one big persistent world, real consequences for every battle, and an alliance you log in for. The game, its code and its art are our own, built from scratch.
Where we are
Citavon is in open testing. The world is live and free to join, and we are still adding features and tuning the balance, often from what players tell us. If something looks wrong, or you have an idea, we want to hear it: see Contact us.
What we stand for
- Free to play. Anyone can sign up and play at no cost.
- No download. It runs in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a desktop or laptop.
- A fair start. Beginner protection keeps a new lord safe from attack for up to seven days, until the Town Hall reaches level 5.
- Your data kept small. An account needs only a name, an email address and a password.
